When Nina and Finn first asked me to photograph their wedding Finn was concerned that the venue at London Fields Brewery was very dark as it was built in railway arches and would it cause me any problems regarding lighting. I assured him that I would pop in to have a look before their big day, and that everything would be fine.
On the morning of their wedding I went along to the Russell Hotel to meet Nina and her bridesmaids as they got ready and enjoyed a few glasses of bubbly, while Finn was already at Islington Town Hall awaiting his bride-to-be, and maybe feeling just a little bit nervous.
Following the ceremony in the Council Chamber Nina and Finn went across the road to The Vineyard while half of their guests traveled to London Fields Brewery on a red London bus. When the bus returned the rest of the guests were taken along to the brewery for the reception.
What a cool venue London Fields Brewery is, Nina and Finn had arranged for a beer tasting for their guests, where the brewery staff explained how beer is made and what hops and grains are used in order to get certain tastes. There was also a malt whisky tasting and talk, which was also very well attended!
Nina and Finn did not have a traditional first dance, instead it was a very entertaining dance competition where all their guests could join in, it was great fun for me to see and photograph, I really wanted to join in but someone had to take the photographs!
Overall from start to finish it was a great day, congratulations to Nina and Finn on organising such a memorable day.
