Lucy and Dan’s wedding reception will take place at The Lensbury Hotel in August so when we were choosing a location for their engagement photoshoot we decided to go to the nearby Richmond Park. Lucy and Dan like the Isabella Plantation so we headed there first. They had also packed a picnic as the weather was so warm and sunny and I could see they were iching to get picnicing!
They told me they had first met at university and once we got talking more we discovered that we shared a common interest, travelling! The time flew by as we were constantly exchanging stories about parts of South East Asia where we had been, they had spent eight months travelling and had visited quite a few countries in that part of the world that I had also been to with my wife Val.
We started out in the Isabella Plantation and then moved on to the common where they had their picnic, well actually it was cupcakes and champagne, life is tough being a teacher but someone’s got to do it!
Afterwards we went back to the Lensbury Hotel where their wedding will be held later this year, at the back of the hotel we walked along the riverbank of the Thames, there is something so tranquil about walking alongside the river. I’m really looking forward to returning to the Lensbury Hotel to photograph Lucy and Dan’s wedding.
Update: Lucy and Dan have now gotten married and you can see their wedding by clicking here, An Alice in Wonderland themed wedding.
