Jessica emailed me from California asking me to photograph her wedding at the Cliffs Pavillion Southend and I was intrigued how someone so far away had seen my website. She had found me on the internet when she searched for a wedding photographer in Essex and wanted me to photograph her and Karl’s wedding party in Southend. Jessica is originally from the UK and Karl is American and they live in California, they had gotten married the previous November in the United States and they now planned another wedding in Southend. It was going to be a wedding in every way except for the legal marriage as that had already taken place.
On the morning of the wedding I met with Jessica and her sister Jodene in The White Cliffs Hotel on the seafront in Southend where I photographed her bridal preparations. Following that we all walked the short distance along to The Cliffs Pavillion where Karl and all the guests were waiting, including an American contingent who were not going to miss out on the English version of the wedding!
Following the wedding breakfast I spent some time with Jessica and Karl when we went for a walk along the seafront and through the beautiful garden beside the Cliffs Pavillion where I took some photographs for them to take back to America with them as a memory of part two of their wedding celebrations.
In the evening more of Jessica’s and Karl’s friends who could not make it to the wedding in November came along to the Cliffs Pavillion in Southend and joined in the second round of the wedding celebrations, having both a US and a UK wedding celebration was a fantastic idea and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
